So, I have been informed by my lovely nutritionist that I need to be 100% gluten free, my body seems to be creating an antibody and attacking itself when I eat glorious gluten….I have to admit I’m not 100% there yet, but I’m well on my way. I thought this would seriously dampen my love for baking, but Sam from Wholesome Patisserie has proved otherwise. This is one of her recipes and it is seriously scrumptious.
It is very similar to my mum’s famous fudge slice, but this time, sans gluten. It’s so simple to whip up, turns out so fudgy and the melted milk chocolate on top infused with peppermint is to die for. You can find the recipe here, and if you are gluten-free you can substitute the arrowroot biscuits for gluten-free ones. I found mine at Woolworths in the GF aisle. Any plain biscuits would do if you can’t find arrowroot. Also, if you wanted to spice it up a little, you could add dried cranberries, walnuts, or any of your favourite things to give it an extra crunch. Enjoy!
